Achievement: Production of Trichoderma solid Strain and Multi-element Trichoderma Bioorganic Fertilizer from Straw and Waste Animal Protein
Achievement Owner: Nanjing Agricultural University
Introduction: Due to its reproducible production of stable spores, Bacillus is a major functional bacterium in the production of conventional bio-fertilizers. Yet Trichoderma has large biomass, robustcolonization ability on root surface, and a large variety of secondary metabolites, therefore it has a better growth-promoting effect and biocontrol effect. However, Trichoderma cannot effectively produce spores in liquid. And featured with expensive raw materials and high sterilisation cost, the traditional solid fermentation process may not be able to meet the up-scaling needs of fertilizer plants. These are the technical bottlenecks the Trichoderma bio-fertilizer industry is faced with. In view of this, our technology uses the acidified amino acid from straw and waste animal protein as raw materials. We can produce Trichoderma spores on a large scale without sterilizing materials in an open space. This technology has successfully broken through the technical bottlenecks in the field of production of Trichoderma bio-fertilizer.
