Project Name: Hybrid Solar-Assisted Large Scale Cleaning System (HSALSCS）for Urban Air

Project Profile: In view of the urban air pollutions in China, the first Hybrid Solar-Assisted Large Scale Cleaning System (HSALSCS) for urban air was proposed and constructed for the first time. This innovative project integrates the application of solar energy, geothermal energy, particle filtration and photo-catalytic technology for gaseous pollutants. As we all know, the heated air will rise and cold air will fall. The system utilizes this principle to add nano-materials for filtering PM2.5 and catalytically degrading gas pollutants into the system, and outputs clean air through the diversion tower to realize active purification of ambient air. Since the completion of this project, its positive effects on the surrounding regional air quality have received widespread attention from general public, scientific community and government. In February 2019, HSALSCS was selected as one of "28 Incredible 'Made in China' Innovations that are changing the world" by the U.S. media, along with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, FAST and quantum satellite, etc.
