Achievement: Magnesium hydroxide/graphene nanocomposite with high photocatalytic property
Achievement Owner: Fujian University of Technology
Introduction: Magnesium hydroxide/graphene nanocomposites were prepared by the chemical precipitation method with magnesium chloride hexahydrate, sodium hydroxide, and graphene as raw materials. The material could not only adsorb organic dyes in water, but also quickly promote the degradation of pollutants in water. The nanocomposites take advantage of the high density of magnesium hydroxide, which is beneficial to the rapid separation of the composites from dye wastewater, and effectively reduces the separation time. In addition, the preparation method of the material is simple and the cost is low. The nanocomposites prepared by this method exhibit high photocatalytic property and could be utilized for several times.
