Achievement: Quantitative Precipitation Estimates and Nowcasting using Radar observations

Introduction: Sun Yat-Sen University carried out research on short-range precipitation forecasting methods and models for regional radar observations, established quantitative precipitation estimation models applicable to the region, and has realized short-range precipitation forecasting. This breaks through the current problem of insufficient precipitation estimation accuracy and inaccurate precipitation forecast, and provides the theoretical basis and methodological support for water network flood disaster sensing and practical application.
