Project Profile: Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) is one of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) listed diseases. Many countries along the Belt and Road, including China and neighboring countries, are PPR epidemic areas. The eradication of PPR is not only a national plan of China, but also an international program launched by OIE and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Recently, our company has developed the world’s first diagnostic kit for PPR to differentiate between vaccine immunization and wild virus infection, which can strongly provide a basis for decision-making and effectively promote the global eradication program of PPR.
