1. Introduction to the Company

  Established in 2003 with a registered capital of RMB 30 million, Ningxia Mingde Healthy Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is the first TCM decoction pieces manufacturer in Ningxia. After nearly 20 years, it has developed into a regional leader with a total assets of RMB 247 million, 228 employees, a total area of 3.5 hectares. It possesses 5 production workshops for conventional drinks, toxic decoction pieces, germinated and fermented decoction pieces, directly-administered decoction pieces and food (herbal tea) respectively, producing more than 600 varieties (specifications) of TCM decoction pieces, with an annual output of more than 2,200 tons. It achieved an output value of RMB 140 million in 2021.

2. Technology

Good Agricultural Practice of Trollius Chinensis

  Wild trollius chinensis grows in mountains or grasslands at an altitude from 1-1.2 km, and likes relatively humid environment with a temperature ranging from 10 to 20 degrees Celsius. The research on the introduction of trollius chinensis started in 2009. After the whole-life-cycle experiment carried out in the planting base in Longde County of Ningxia, the wild trollius chinensis has been successfully domesticated and self-reproduction was achieved. Relevant standards for seedling quality and breeding and good agricultural practice of trollius chinensis were set up. This technology is applicable in agricultural ecological planting and breeding. The flower is both an ingredient for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) decoction and a good choice for urban landscape.

3. Products

  Functional foods are those that provide benefits beyond basic nutrition and are functional at some physiological level. Traditional Chinese Medicine functional food refers to medicinal-edible foods prescribed and processed according to the TCM theory, which is helpful in controlling blood sugar and blood pressure and improving sleep and immune system. Functional foods are mainly for the elderly and sub-healthy people.
