Introduction: The small blind zone underwater ultrasonic rangefinder consists of a high-precision water immersion ultrasonic probe, a temperature sensor and a signal processor. Through the self-developed small blind zone high-precision water immersion ultrasonic probe with temperature compensation and echo compensation algorithms, a small blind zone of the order of 10mm under low-cost conditions has been realized. At present, the blind zone of similar products in the international and domestic markets is in the order of 100mm. The system solves the problems of underwater topographic measurement in shallow water areas and the failure of ultrasonic probes at short distance. The ranging range is 20mm~1000mm; the ranging accuracy is 0.2mm; the communication serial port is RS485; the system can be used in muddy water with a sand content of not more than 50kg/m3. This technical achievement has completely independent intellectual property rights and is expected to achieve good effects in the fields of river monitoring, sewage treatment, deformation detection and so on.
