Achievement: Technology and Equipment for Accurate Survey of Contaminated Soil and Related Application

Introduction: Due to a number of unfavourable factors (including the slow transfer speed of sampling tools, the large soil compression ratio and the serious cross-contamination during the sampling process, and the impossibility of qualitative and quantitative detection of on-site pollution factors), it is urgent for us to develop effective technologies and equipment with an aim to meet the requirements of “fast transfer speed between sites and accurate detection of pollution status”. However, imported devices in this field are usually featured with few integration options, limited functions and unsatisfactory precision, and therefore can hardly meet the requirements of soil contamination prevention and control in China.Taking into account the current needs of the nation-wide soil survey, our team has developed a number of specialized tools, including the precision sampling technology system for contaminated soil, the direct-propulsion rapid drilling system for sampling of contaminated land (model: EP3000) and the vehicle-mounted integrated platform for soil collection, detection and treatment (EP: 3040). These tools can be widely used in the investigation and sampling of contaminated sites inside and outside Jiangsu Province.
