Achievement: Deep Purification and Integrated Governance of Low-Concentration VOCs

Introduction: This technology can now reveal the principle of orientation between complex components in VOCs and long/short ester groups and embedded multi-catalysts in enhanced enrichment materials. On this basis, we have invented a series of functional new materials, new technologies and new equipment, and succeeded in a number of large-scale engineering applications, by continously overcoming major technical constraints in the field of deep purification of low-concentration VOCs with an aim to achieve ultra-low emissions.At present, we have completed conversions of scientific and technological results into real productivity in a number of enterprises, and formed a regional layout in China. The engineering governance methodhas been successfully applied to the deep purification process of low-concentration VOCs in 96 enterprises in 8 industries and 15 provinces in China. At present, this technique accounts for over 80% of China’s total output of low-concentration VOCs treatment in the ship coating industry and over 90% in the marine engineering coating industry. We have used this technology to treat over 80 billion cubic metres of exhaust gas. This technology has made an important contribution to emission reduction and deep purification of low-concentration VOCs in China. It will generate significant environmental and social benefits for China's future growth for a long time to come.
