Project Profile: According to the investigation of Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Morocco lags behind in the prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus with rather high morbidity of the disease and its complications, especially the amputation rate of diabetic foot is very high. Therefore, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, proposed to establish an integrated model of prevention, control, treatment and information management of diabetes mellitus between the “Ninth Hospital of Shanghai” and-Meknes District Central Hospital of Morocco. The management model is designed to enable the use of smart hardware and interconnection technologies to improve the efficiency of the management of diabetes mellitus in and out of hospital in this area so that the patients are allowed to accept homogeneous management, the control rate of diabetes mellitus can be improved, the occurrence and development of complications can be effectively reduced or delayed, and the patients’ medical costs can be lowered. This can build an intelligent digital medical service ecosystem of integrated management of diabetes mellitus as well as an all-round promotion model in and out of hospital in the region.
