Project Profile: “Silk Road High-Tech Parks Association” (Silk Road Association for short), is an open-type and non-compact cooperative organization, formed by high-tech zones and parks, science and technology management, service and research agencies, middle and large enterprises of countries and regions from the areas of “Belt and Road” plan; it is a platform for these organizations to strengthen collaboration, share resources, unleash advantages, exchange information and achieve win-win cooperation. It was also established that an annual meeting of the Association should be held each year. After the establishment of the Association, it is performing the following functions: fully engaging the advantages of the international platform of the Sino-Russian Base in Yantai High-Tech Zone, inviting high-technology parks, science and technology management institutions, universities and key high-tech enterprises from “Belt and Road” countries to join in, implementing resource sharing and mutual assistance; through the organization of different events by the Association, strengthening science and technology, as well as commercial cooperation with enterprises and research institutions from “Belt and Road” countries, forming globalization development trends in innovation and entrepreneurship, accelerating economic and cultural exchange between countries and regions, promoting further globalization development of innovative entrepreneurship in member countries; strengthening in-depth understanding on the direction of scientific, technological and economic cooperation of China with “Belt and Road” countries, main issues and key projects, providing reference for governmental decisions and build concrete exchange and cooperation platform. The effective platform of communication was built for more in-depth and specific cooperation between all parties, and plays an important role in promoting the exchanges between technologies of these countries, the cultivation of talents and the transformation of those results.
