Project Profile: The overall goal of this project is to collaborate with the Myanmar Meteorological Administration to develop a regional forecasting system with spatial high resolution and high precision for the characteristics of the Myanmar region. The forecasting performance of this system should have the global advanced level. And the goal also includes developing the numerical prediction test system for high-resolution numerical weather models. Main contents: 1. Pattern initialization system. The project should establish multi-data application and cloud analysis system with high resolution and use various observation data including local data to provide the initial mode field containing information about cloud water condensate to realize the effective initialization of cloud mode. 2. The overall design and development of the model system. It should be based on the background field and side boundary conditions of the regional model of East China to design a reasonable local physical framework in Myanmar and construct a refined high-resolution regional forecasting system. At the same time, they should consider the resolution of the whole system in three-dimensional space and the overall mode physical scheme to configure the corresponding underlying surface feature data to achieve the relative consistency of the mode system and to perform efficient and stable forecasting operation. 3. Forecast post-processing and inspection design. The project should provide multi-element and multi-region forecast pictures and texts to meet local demand in Myanmar, and provide GRB data of grids for secondary development and utilization. Data or images from performance checks could provide a variety of inspection products for grid-to-site and grid-to-grid points. They can also provide diagnostic analysis products for model prediction errors, such as box plots of error distribution.
